Did I miss something? I bought a Basic Site plan on Webflow, but I can't export my code. I thought this option was available with paid plans.

TL;DR
  • The Basic Site plan does not allow code export; only CMS, Business, Enterprise, or Workspace plans support it.
  • To enable code export, upgrade to a CMS or higher plan under Site Settings > Plans & Billing, or use a Workspace plan.
  • Once eligible, open Designer, click Export Code (</>), and download HTML, CSS, JS, and assets.

Webflow's Basic Site plan does not include code export. Only Workspace plans or a higher-tier Site plan (such as CMS or Business) allow code export.

1. Why You Can’t Export Code on a Basic Site Plan

  • The Basic Site plan provides hosting and a custom domain but does not include the code export feature.
  • Code export is available only for projects in a Workspace or on CMS, Business, or Enterprise plans.

2. How to Enable Code Export

  • Upgrade to a CMS, Business, or Enterprise plan:
  • Go to Site Settings > Plans & Billing and switch to at least the CMS plan.
  • Use a Free or Paid Workspace plan:
  • If you are in a Workspace, you'll find code export even on free projects (except when linked to a Basic Site plan).

3. Exporting Once You Have the Right Plan

  • Open your project in the Designer.
  • Click Export Code (</>) in the top-right menu.
  • Download the HTML, CSS, JS, and assets.

Summary

Since the Basic Site plan does not support code export, you need to switch to a CMS or higher plan, or use a Workspace plan.
