How can I remove the purple test mode button on my website in Webflow?

TL;DR
  • In Webflow Project Settings, go to Ecommerce > Payments, toggle off Stripe Test Mode, and save changes.
  • Re-publish the site and check the live domain (clearing cache if needed) to confirm the purple Test Mode button is gone.

The purple Test Mode button appears on your Webflow site when Stripe Test Mode is enabled for an Ecommerce project.

1. Disable Test Mode in Webflow Ecommerce

  • Go to your Webflow Project Dashboard.
  • Click Project Settings.
  • Navigate to the Ecommerce tab.
  • Scroll to the Payments section.
  • If you’ve connected Stripe, you’ll see an option labeled Enable Test Mode.
  • Toggle off the Test Mode switch.
  • Save your changes.

2. Republish the Site

  • After disabling Test Mode, go back to the Designer or Project Dashboard.
  • Click Publish and re-publish your site to the live domain for the change to take effect.

3. Double-Check on Live Domain

  • Visit your live site (not the Webflow.io staging subdomain).
  • If the Test Mode button still shows, clear your browser cache or test in an incognito window.

4. Additional Note: Only Shows in Test Mode

  • The purple button only appears when Stripe is in Test Mode and only shows on the published site for that mode.
  • It won’t appear if Stripe is in Live Mode and everything is set up correctly.

Summary

To remove the purple Test Mode button, go to Project Settings > Ecommerce > Payments, disable Test Mode, and re-publish your site. This button is triggered by Stripe Test Mode and disappears once it's turned off.
