How can I download files that are included as Assets in Webflow?

TL;DR
  • Open the Webflow Designer, access the Assets panel, and click the gear icon on the desired asset.
  • Copy the direct URL, paste it into your browser, and download the file manually; repeat for each asset as bulk download isn't supported.

To download files stored in the Webflow Assets panel, you need to access their public URL and download them directly, as Webflow does not offer a bulk-download option from the Designer.

1. Locate the Asset in Webflow

  • Open your Webflow project in the Designer.
  • In the right sidebar, click the Assets panel (paperclip icon).
  • Hover over the asset you want to download and click the gear icon (Settings) that appears.

2. Copy the Asset URL

  • In the asset settings popup, you'll see a direct URL to the file hosted on Webflow’s CDN.
  • Click the "Copy URL" button to copy the full file path.

3. Download the File from the URL

  • Paste the URL into a new browser tab and press Enter.

  • Once the file loads, right-click and choose “Download” or “Save As”, depending on your browser and file type.

  • Image files will usually open in the browser where you can right-click and save.

  • PDFs or other files may download automatically.

4. Repeat for Each File (if Needed)

  • This method must be repeated individually for each asset you'd like to download.
  • Webflow currently does not support bulk downloading of all assets.

Summary

To download files from the Webflow Assets panel, open the asset settings, copy the public URL, then access and download the file from your browser. You’ll need to do this one file at a time, as bulk download isn't supported.
