If your navbar is inside a Symbol in Webflow, you’ll need to unlink it so that changes don’t affect all instances. Follow these steps:
1. Unlink the Navbar Symbol
- Select the Navbar in the Webflow Designer.
- If it's inside a Symbol, look for the green icon next to its name in the Navigator.
- Right-click on the Symbol and choose Unlink Instance.
2. Edit the Navbar Independently
- Once unlinked, the navbar becomes a standard non-symbol element.
- You can now edit it on a single page without affecting others.
3. Create a New Symbol (Optional)
- If you want to keep different versions of your navbar, you can:
- Modify the unlinked navbar.
- Re-save it as a new Symbol (Right-click > Create Symbol).
- Use it selectively on pages where variations are needed.
Summary
To unlink a navbar from a Symbol, right-click and choose Unlink Instance. You can now edit it separately from other pages. If needed, create new Symbols for different versions.
