As of my data from 2021, Webflow does not have a specific keyboard shortcut to quickly clear out a style on a selected element. However, there is a handy feature called "Clear styles" in the Styles panel that allows you to reset all the properties of a selected element back to their default values with just a few clicks.
To use the "Clear styles" feature in Webflow, follow these steps:
1. Select the element you want to clear the styles for either in the Designer canvas or the Navigator panel.
2. In the right-hand sidebar, click on the Styles tab to open the Styles panel.
3. Scroll to the bottom of the Styles panel, and you'll find a button called "Clear styles." Clicking this button will reset all the properties of the selected element to their default values.
4. Before clearing the styles, Webflow will prompt you with a confirmation dialog box asking if you want to proceed. This is to ensure you don't accidentally remove any custom styling you may have applied. Review the changes and click "Clear styles" if you're sure you want to proceed.
By using the "Clear styles" button in the Styles panel, you can quickly remove all the custom styling applied to an element and revert it back to its default appearance. This can be helpful when you want to start fresh with a clean slate or undo any unintentional changes made to a specific element's styles.
It's worth noting that clearing styles will reset all the properties of the selected element, including color, typography, layout, etc. So, it's always a good idea to double-check your changes before applying the clearing action. Additionally, if you have applied styles to different states (such as hover or active) of an element, clearing styles will also remove those custom styles and revert the element to its default appearance in all states.
