You're seeing default Webflow or template content because your site’s homepage hasn’t been updated or published with your custom content yet.
1. Set the Correct Homepage
- Go to the Pages panel in the Webflow Designer (left sidebar > icon with stacked pages).
- Locate the page that should be your homepage.
- Click the gear icon next to that page.
- Check the box labeled “Set as homepage.”
- This ensures users see your custom page instead of a template or placeholder when visiting your root domain.
2. Update Page Content in the Designer
- Open the Webflow Designer and select the page currently set as the homepage.
- Replace or customize template elements with your own text, images, sections, etc.
- Make sure to remove or edit any placeholder or branded components (e.g., elements that say “Webflow” or show the original template layout).
3. Remove Template Branding or Elements
- Some templates include branded blocks or duplicate content.
- Inspect the Navigator panel to find any sections with unwanted logos, text, or links.
- Delete or customize those elements directly in the Designer.
4. Publish Your Site
- Click the Publish button in the top-right corner of the Designer.
- Make sure to publish to both your webflow.io subdomain and any custom domain if connected.
- Check the live site to confirm that your intended content displays.
5. Verify Custom Domain Setup (if used)
- If you're using a custom domain but still seeing Webflow-branded pages:
- Go to Project Settings > Hosting.
- Confirm your domain is connected correctly and the default domain is set to the correct URL (e.g., www.yoursite.com).
- If needed, update DNS settings to point your A records to (a) 75.2.70.75 and (b) 99.83.190.102.
Summary
To replace template or Webflow-branded content, make sure you’ve set the correct homepage, customized your page content, and published the site. Also confirm your custom domain points to the right project if applicable.
