If you have a text element in Webflow that is covered by another layer and you cannot select it directly, there are a few strategies you can try to edit the text:
1. Reorder the layers: In the Webflow Designer, you can rearrange the layers of your elements by using the Navigator panel. Open the panel, find the element that is covering the text, and drag it below the text element. This will bring the text element to the forefront and make it editable.
2. Use the hierarchy panel: If reordering the layers doesn't work or is not feasible for your design, you can use the Hierarchy panel in the Webflow Designer. The Hierarchy panel allows you to select elements and navigate through their parent-child relationships. Locate the text element in the panel, select it, and you should be able to edit the text in the Styles panel or by double-clicking on the text directly.
3. Modify the styling properties: Another way to access and edit the covered text is by modifying its styling properties. In the Styles panel, you can adjust the position, size, or margins of the covering element to create enough space for the text to be visible and selectable. Once the text is accessible, you can make the necessary edits.
4. Temporarily disable or hide the covering element: If the previous methods don't yield the desired results, you can try temporarily disabling or hiding the element that is covering the text. In the Navigator panel, find the covering element and use the visibility options to hide it or disable its interactions. This should reveal the text element and allow you to select and edit it. Remember to re-enable or unhide the covering element once you're done editing.
It's important to note that if the covering element is dynamically positioned or part of an interaction, there might be limitations to the above options. In such cases, you may need to adjust your design or interaction strategy to ensure better accessibility and ease of editing.
